Last night Kai had a Christmas concert and so she got all done up and we had to do some shots in the studio. I think she’s gonna be a model when she grows up because she came up with the majority of these poses… I just had to shoot when she was ready.
And yes she definitely came up with this one on her own…
I also realized that she loves to be center stage… this wasn’t even her part she just wanted the mic all to herself….
The other Kai asked me to help her wash her hands, she was in the other room, I walk in and see this… Lypsol all over her hands and face. She had really soft lips though I’m sure
Being that it is halloween today I thought it would be a fitting day to display some work that we did for a bride a few weeks back… Part of our job is making people look good…
…but as professionals we also have to be able to meet our clients needs, that was the case in these shots. The bride in the photo above came to me wanting a trash the dress shoot, but not just a normal into the water trash the dress shoot, she wanted freaky looking shots. So after a little looking around we found an awesome house to photograph in as well as some cool outdoor locations.
Very obviously these shots have been worked on in Photoshop, it was fun to do though, here are a couple of shots that we used to make the shot at the door with the glowing light…
After piecing these two shots together we added some extra effects to get the “glow” look of the shot and made her slightly transparent so she appeared more ghost like.
Last week I had the privilege of having Mikyla Janzen job shadowing me for a few days. She was awesome to have around and we had a great time. Since I didn’t have any other shoots booked for the days she was in we decided to do some grad photos for her…
Here are a couple of shots that we got of some friends children for them… nothing like posing kids in and around old rusty cars… I love the contrast of the old vehicles to the kids.
